Uniqlo. AGAIN!

LOL! I’m not a big fan of Uniqlo, seriously, honestly, truthfully! It was just that I still have a few RM20 vouchers left, and it seemed to be a waste not to use them. Moreover, the introductory/promo price would be gone after 18th November. I wouldn’t want to miss the bargain.

It’s selling winter clothing now, but since some of them are of great value, no harm getting 1 or 2 long sleeves. Went there 2 weeks ago during Public Holiday, not a lot of people I would say. First and foremost, grabbed a reversible fleece jacket for Andrew. RM49.90 only!!! Original price would be RM79.90.

I thought that’s it, just go to the cashier pay the bill and go home lah Ashley. Nah…… Don’t forget that I am ASHLEY!!! Hahaha. Sneaked to the 2nd floor, wanting to replenish some long sleeves for Andrew. :D Okay, I “sayang” my husband a lot one, ok! :p Ahhh…… Found just the perfect one for him. Nothing much for the man then. Time for MYSELF! :D

Went back down to 1st floor where all the ladies clothing is. Couldn’t believe I was there for nearly an hour!!! Geez…… Andrew was waiting outside in his car! LOL! He didn’t want to follow me in because he didn’t want to pay for the parking! Ok dear, you slowly wait lah huh outside. :P

Let’s see what I got this time. :D

Shawl – RM49.90 (It feels so nice and looks so chic around the neck.)

Long sleeves – RM39.90 each (Pretty comfortable cotton.)

Sandals – RM39.90/pair

Didn’t get to snap a photo of Andrew’s reversible fleece jacket, he has taken it to the office.

Guess my Uniqlo fever will stop for some time. The fever has burnt a big hole on my wallet! Geez……

Uniqlo Everywhere

Now, I have not seen any new opening fashion store created such a big scene in town. This is definitely the first! Even before its opening, it was already the talk of the town. Everybody was either talking or asking about Uniqlo. Me, saw the name a few times in the past, but never really bothered to check it out.

4th November, saw the photos of people queueing to go in to the store! The crowds!!! Oh my gosh!!! My dear friend, Melissa, came all the way from Seremban and queued for 3 hours to get in to the store! Good grief! She said she has created “a day in history” for herself. Hahahahaha……

I went on the 2nd day, 5th November, Deepavali. I was thinking perhaps lesser crowds since it was a public holiday and some people may have gone back to hometown or out of town. I was so so so wrong! Andrew dropped me at the Fahrenheit 88 entrance, I walked in, saw the queue, thought of going further in to queue. Geez…… I couldn’t see the end. The queue was just too long and I called Andrew, that’s it, am not going to queue! I’m not really an Uniqlo fanatic. :P

Played the Uniqlo online game few times and won some vouchers. It would be waste to just let the vouchers expired and I have got one RM50 voucher! Furthermore, would like to buy some jacket for my sister. Finally, there I was. Went there 2 days ago, no Q!!! So happy. In fact, there wasn’t any crowd in the store.

First, bumped into Andrew’s friends. Then, bumped into Christine! LOL! Everybody has got this Uniqlo fever! Guess what, Christine was there for 2nd time! Hahaha. Managed to grab something for myself and sister and used up 5 vouchers! :D The fleece jackets are so cheap!

Fleece Jacket, introductory price RM49.90 each. Bought one for my sis and one for myself. :D

Bought 3 leggings. RM39.90 each. After went home and tried, even I took L size, it is still pretty short for me. :(

Total, I only spent RM90 for the 5 items above. Happy. :D

Bad Evil

*Running around pulling her hair screaming what-shall-she-do*

When was the last time I splurged on clothes? It was in May. Since then, on and off I did buy some, but didn’t really splurge. Today, I did it again. Right before my Hong Kong trip and I spent so much on clothes again!!! This is insane! I don’t know why the “demon” would sometimes strike and possess the better part of me.

Dorothy Perkins. RM201 after discount. Hopelessly in love with it after Andrew’s comment of “nice and special”. LOL. Tried the other one with polka dots and Andrew said BAD. Hahaha.

Bought 4 singlets/spaghetti strap from Topshop, with 20% discount.

I’ve bought a lot of singlets, but whenever I need one to match, I couldn’t find one. I have no idea where have my singlets gone to. It’s very frustrating and sad when they went missing-in-action for no reason. :(

Saw some nice dresses in MNG and Zara too, but those dresses would make me look more matured. Good, save me some money.

The fashion trend now, is pretty vintage. Lace is back, dresses with rounded collar is moving in, floral prints are everywhere, monotone is out, high-waist skirts/pants are HOT, bell shape shirt and flare skirts are showing their tips…… I’ll be going to Hong Kong next week, wonder what the trend is now. Hope that I would not burst the budget again. Fingers crossed.

Shopping, the best therapy ever. If you have the money, that is. :)

One Step At A Time

Didn’t plan this for long, was briefly discussing about the dreams we have and what we want to do to achieve them. We are glad that we have a common vision.

Clueless, hesitated to take the first step. Too many to plan, too much to think, too little experience and too afraid to lose. Guess our guardian angels heard our cries, help came in the right time. Just that little push, enough to make us leaped.

Here we are, making our first big step. As the saying goes, the first step is always the hardest but once you make it, the rest will follow. How I wish things are as easy as they seem. Well, guess we just have to keep going and hope for the best. More planning is needed, but we shall not give up.

If you could give us the little support that we need, please click the link here for our Facebook page. Your support means a lot to us, and me. Million thanks.

Am I A Crazy Shopper?

In my previous post, if you’ve read, I’ve bought a blue dress for RM167. Andrew was a bit surprised with the price, but he is always very sweet to say “as long as you like it, it’s ok, and by the way, it is pretty”. He has never tried to stop me from buying anything, he would only ask if I needed it.

I’d buy cheaper clothes too, if they’re nice. I’ve even tried online-shopping. My last online-shopping experience wasn’t a good one. I was so disappointed. I’ve bought 9 pieces of tops and dresses altogether, amounting to RM261. Guess what, only 3 of them are wearable! That is sad, isn’t it? RM261 for 9 pieces is VERY cheap. But when you could only wear 3 of them, you do the maths. Out of that 3 pieces, one T-shirt, one off-shoulder blouse and one cotton dress. The rest of them, bad quality, poor workmanship, way too different from the photos on the web, sizes are not consistent with what mentioned on the web too. Shall post the photos of them when I have the courage to look at them again. Now whenever I see them, I feel sad. Can’t wear them nor give them away. They are so bad I wouldn’t want another person to feel that I’m giving them unwanted bad stuff. I may sound a little exaggerating, but one thing could prove that they’re really bad. Tried all of them on and showcased to Andrew, he has never said a word except smiling. Oh well, perhaps one word he did say when I asked if it looked nice, “OK” was his only answer.

So now, you tell me, would you rather spend RM261 for 3 casual simple clothes? With that RM261, I could get a pretty dress from Miss Selfridge and a nice top from Dorothy Perkins which I could wear to work. Most importantly, I know I am going to wear them!

Okay, I am finding excuses to justify my shopping spree. LOL!

Shopping Spree Continues

Had a date with my fellow ‘sistas’, Jenny, Yee and Wan Yi. Wan Yi told me last night that she could join us. Jenny is at her 3rd trimester, so good that I could finally feel and touch her big tummy. :D

We had our lunches in Din Tai Fung in The Gardens Mall. The Xiao Long Bao (steamed dumpling) is so nice! Juicy and tender. I had a bowl of beef noodles too, thumbs up! Reminded me of all the beef noodles I had in Taiwan. Oh, I miss Taiwan so much.

After a satisfying lunch, gotta do some exercise instead of sit and chat and let the fats accumulated around our waists. LOL! Got myself a Le Sportsac handbag, my first Le Sportsac! Hahaha. Wan Yi got one too. Around 3pm, we all went separate ways. Me, while waiting for Andrew who was on his way, went to Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge to hunt for my “perfect” top. I managed to grab a few of them! Oh my gosh, it’s been a while since I last splurged on clothes! Not even when I was in Taiwan! Geez…… Enough of spending, Ashley. Please don’t go back to your old shopaholic self.

From Miss Selfridge, RM167 after discount.

From Dorothy Perkins, RM80.10 each, after discount. They don't look nice and attractive right? Well, look perfectly beautiful when you put them on! I was surprised they suit me well. :)

Le Sportsac handbag, RM95 after 50% discount.

Few hundreds gone. :(

Shop Till You Drop

Isetan is having anniversary sale this month, 3-day members special starting yesterday. The crowd was crazy, we didn’t even get the chance to go into the car park, the traffic at the KLCC entrance was so bad! I told Andrew even if we got in, the chance to get an empty car park within 10 minutes would be very dim too. Seeing that we too were rushing to go home to watch the Thomas Cup, I decided to go home and do the shopping today.

Got there around 11 this morning, hoping the crowd would not be big. Luckily, no crowd at all. Went to TGV KLCC to see if we could grab any movie later. Well, earliest show for The Bounty Hunter is 4.20pm. Bummer! That is too late. No other good movie, full concentration on my shopping then. LOL!

Went straight to Clinique, I was the only customer. :D Geez…… There were so many things I needed to replenish! Looked at the amount, oh Lord! I could feel my heart ached so much and Andrew was like “whoa, that is a lot! But well, if you really need them, that is ok though.” Aww…… That was so sweet of him to comfort me. I have no idea why my skincare all finished at the same time! Usually they did not, I used to replenish one at a time. The money involved was too scary, I dropped a few items in the hope that the existing ones could still last me another month.

If it was ME 2 years ago, I wouldn’t even blink an eye to buy all of them. I am proud to say that I am a more careful consumer now. :) Thanks to Wan Yi and Melissa. They are constantly telling me “do not buy what you do not need”.

Roaming around in KLCC whilst waiting for my ex-colleagues to come, also looking for a gorgeous top for my upcoming photography session, hopefully! Hahahaha. Argh, couldn’t find one that caught my eyes. Finally my ex-colleagues reached, passed me a bottle of super healthy fish oil that promise could improve health dramatically. So nice of my ex-colleagues to come all the way from PJ to give me the fish oil. Couldn’t thank them enough. I am truly blessed with many little angels. :)

Tomorrow meeting with another 2 angels. Hope I could grab some really yummy-looking top then.

Bought 5 pieces from Clinique, and one from Origins.

Something to share about this Origins Youthtopia eye cream. Using Rhodiola as one of the ingredients, it claims it is able to reduce fine lines, puffiness, dark circles and helps firm the skin. I have been using it for more than a year, this is the 3rd bottle. What I love about it is that it is made from all natural ingredients, no chemicals. Hence, it is not oily at all even though it is pretty creamy. It feels oily and heavy on your fingertips, but when you dab it around your eyes, you will only feel that it is creamy but definitely not oily. I can’t use oily products on the skin around my eyes, otherwise I’ll get oil seeds and that would be nasty. The skin around my eyes used to be very dry. I’ve tried a lot of eye products that claimed to work wonders and magic. None of them really worked. Some of them were so oily and caused oil seeds to grow and I have gone through a tough time removing them. I gave up on my eyes for some time, only using the hydration eye gel from Clinique to prevent it from dehydration. It was by chance I stumbled upon this Youthtopia. Tried it for the first time, didn’t like it. Since I’ve bought it, I gotta use it. 1 month later, I noticed my skin around the eyes was improved! It is still dry, but I no longer have fine lines! Also, the skin has more elasticity now, it is no longer sagging. I am absolutely loving it. No worries about applying too much of it. RM160 for 15ml, which can last 6 months if you use it day and night.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Clinique. I can’t remember for how long, 5 or 6 years perhaps. Their products are less expensive compared with others. They do not have celebrity as their spokesperson, guess that’s why they managed to keep their prices reasonable. Also, their products are milder and gentler on the skin.

Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shu Uemura, L’Oreal, Kose, Shiseido, Clarins…… I’ve tried them all. Most of the times, 6 months of usage, either they were too oily for me, or they lost their effects on me. Clinique is the only brand that balances everything out on my face. There are people telling me some of Clinique products contained alcohol which is harmful to our facial skin. Well, after years of usage, I would say my face is still looking good, if not best. :)

Love Clinique’s Airbrush Concealer and Derma White concealer stick. They are so easy to apply, do not cause dryness, do not flake, and not oily! Their Derma White liquid foundation is very light too, but I’ve stopped using it for quite some time since I now prefer BB cream and the mousse foundation I got from Taiwan.

Okay, enough of Clinique. :) More photos.

6 pieces of free gifts plus few other which the lovely sales assistant always smuggled into the bag for regular customers. :)

Andrew insisted on buying me this since the one I have now cracked at its end although it is still usable. He said now I could have one at home and one at work. :) Thank you my dearest.

Taiwan Post Is Up

Yes, my first post on my Taiwan trip is finally up. :)

Don’t be too happy, it’s only 1 post without any photos. LOL! Please give me time to draft them up and upload the photos. Sorry.

You can find the my Taiwan trip on the right sidebar, under Page Taiwan Go Go Go. There is currently a sub-page of my first day in Taipei.

I guessed separate my Taiwan trip out from the blog posts would be easier for you people to look for it.

Stay tuned for more.

Shopping

On 30th December 2009, tt was so kind of Yee to tell me that Zara is on SALE! Thought I could check it out and see if I could get some work pants and shirts. Didn’t see anything that’s worth the money, they’re still expensive even after the discount. It’s just another sales gimmick they have to attract more customers.

Since I couldn’t find any working clothes, went on the check out if there is any cheap winter jacket that I could possible grab. I kept oh-my-god-ing on the jackets’ prices and Andrew kept giggling. When I was about to give up, I guess I said too much of “oh-my-god” and God heard me, I saw this jacket and the price was OK! Even Andrew said OK. Too bad that there were some imperfections on the brown color that I like, I had to take the white. Now I have to be careful wearing it.

It’s only RM99.90. To my surprise, there were some of them priced at RM139! Same jacket, same color, same everything, but RM40 different! I wonder why.

I was so happy that I finally got a jacket with a decent price. Then Andrew saw this 4-letter word (SALE! I know what you’re thinking! :P ) on Topshop’s display window and decided to go in to have a look. That was then I spotted this green cotton jacket. :D It fits him nicely! RM63 after discount. I wanted to get the smallest size for myself, too bad that the green didn’t have XXS anymore. I took the purple. :) Guess what, I got a RM25 voucher and it was RM37 for mine! So sweet of Andrew that he said he would buy that for me. Okay, my belated Christmas present from him then. :D

Last week went to Karaoke with Phoebe and Wan Yi, each of them bought that Zara jacket too! Hahahaha! :P

Kinokuniya was having this special 30% discount on selected books with purchase of another item of any value. How could I miss that! Went with Phoebe, I got myself another Jimmy Liao‘s book. It is his new book, One More Day With You (走向春天的下午). Then this book caught my attention. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. There is already a movie based on this novel. I didn’t bother to watch it as I thought it would be boring. I don’t mind reading the novel though.

My first 2 books of the year 2010. :)

How nice to start the new year in such a splurge. Well, not really a splurge. LOL! Hope I could more intellectual this year, finish all the books that are lying there in the corner for a long time.

Online Shopping, Again

This isn’t my first time to shop online. I totally understand the risk of buying online and I can take the risk so long as I am careful in selecting my purchases. If the goods received were way too much different from what I saw on the website, it would then be the first-and-the-last time for me to buy from that seller. No point in cursing the seller for cheating my money. After all that is the risk I took and I have to manage it, not let it manage me.

Got my clothes on Tuesday. I was so excited opening the package! Hahaha. Ooohhh…… They look nice! Oops… One little problem with the clothes. First sweater, it was supposed to be grey with PINK trims, but it is white. Second sweater, it was supposed to be open-button sweater, but the one I got is a pull over sweater! Okay, they may be big problems to some people. To me, well, I’m okay with it, they’re just small details that varied from the photographs. Other than those details, I find that the quality is good. Well, that kind of comfort me. :)

So, people out there, if you ever wanted to purchase online, make sure you can handle the risk and the possible discrepancies later. If you can’t, online purchasing is definitely something which you should not even TRY, or THINK.

Here’s some photos on the differences.

Where have the buttons gone? Who ate the buttons? LOL!

The one on the right is what I received. See the different?

Malacca Day Trip 18 Oct 2009

We were supposed to go Ipoh, but I had a photoshoot session back then. Hence, we postponed it to this week and we changed the destination to Malacca. :)

It has been 6 years since I last toured Malacca. Came here with Andrew and some other friends. Now to set feet on this historical heritage soil again, nothing much has changed. Only now that I am married and I am travelling with my girlfriends, not Andrew.

Most of the people in Malacca are friendly. Especially those in Jonker Street. We went to try the chicken rice balls in Jonker Street, it taste awful. The chicken meat was tasteless and the rice was cold. The cendol was delicious though. Then we went on to the Eye On Malaysia which is now in Malacca. A bit disappointed with the view when we were up there. Nothing much to see except the Straits of Malacca.

We didn’t have an exact itinerary of where we would be visiting. Just roaming around in the car, stopped wherever we felt like to. A fun trip actually. Just pity Phoebe that she had to drive all day.

We will definitely go Malacca again. It is an interesting place.

Singapore Escapade

I’m so sorry that I posted this Singapore trip up so late! I went Singapore before Redang but I posted this after my Redang trip. Gosh…… Here it is.

It was a trip that I planned long time ago, to visit Adeline in Singapore. If you do not know just who Adeline is, click here for her blog. She married to a Singaporean last year and has been living her adventurous life there ever since. LOL! Ady, please don’t kill me after reading this. :P

The plan was to have a photoshoot session with her, but due to some other factors, the photoshoot didn’t materialise. Well, it’s okay, I bet there’s going to be more Singapore trips from now on since she’s getting her own house very soon. :)

This is actually my second trip to Singapore. My first was almost 3 years ago, with Andrew. Spent 7 days there in his auntie’s house. :P

I was in fact going together with Wan Yi, her husband and her boss’ family. Her boss Mr. Lew (I’m not sure if I got the name correct) has got a beautiful daughter!!! She is only 8 months old, yet she is a laughing-baby!!! She just loves to smile and laugh.

When we were outside of the Ion, we saw this RED man!!! Yes, we have yellow man in Malaysia, and now they have red man in Singapore! LOL! They are from SingTel, a telecommunication giant in Singapore. Okay, I guess having too much of soup and sandwiches could get you go a little bit of crazy. I couldn’t believe I suggested taking a photo with those RED men!!! Hell, now they were pushing me to go first! There I was, with Adeline, standing with 3 other red men. Hey!!! I was wearing red too!!!

When we reached Atria, we went to have our proper lunch in MOS burger. Geez, can you believe that I was craving for it like 3 years?! This time, I had the ebi rice burger instead of unagi since I’ve tried it before. Oh gosh… It was so yummy!!! Geez… I’m drooling now……

After 4 hours of shop and walk, Ade’s husband came to join us too! Well, to find a seat in the restaurants at such hour was disaster. Most of them were full with long queue outside! So, we went to Haagen Daaz to have an ice-cream treat. Ooohhhh…… I felt so sinful! LOL! Adeline and her husband are so funny! 2 of them are definitely made for each other, so funny and full of jokes.

We went separate ways after the sinful treat, by Adeline’s husband. He insisted on picking up the tap. Well, let him be the man then for this time. Hahaha.

The next morning, all of us woke up late, around 10am. Then we went to Ya Kun Kaya Toast in Lot 1 for breakfast. The soft-boiled eggs are so delicious!!! The eggs are so huge! What a satisfying breakfast. I bought some Giordano clothes there, for Andrew and myself. :) Wan Yi then brought all of us to the IMM mall. It actually has more of household items, but with one floor of the mall full of boutiques and food!

3 of us decided not to go for proper and filling lunch, instead we went for snacks and sharing the food together so that we could try more food! Hahahaha…… First thing we tried was this Istanbul Kebab, with 2 hunky macho men selling at the stall!!! LOL! Yes, that 2 Turkish men are definitely charming. We bought the beef kebab, and gosh, it was super delicious. I didn’t expect it to be so delicious! I’m not a beefeater, I eat beef occasionally. I would say that the kebab made me feel like eating it again and again!

After the kebab, we went on to have some oyster vermicelli at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snack. I have tried the one in KL, it tastes awful, or I would say yucky. But this one, is way better from the one in KL. See, once again it shows that the standard in Malaysia and Singapore could be so much different. Why is that? Do they think that Malaysian has a bad taste bud that we do not require such higher standard of food? Geez……

We went to Esprit outlet, I didn’t buy anything but Wan Yi bought a little dress for the baby princess and her husband bought a sweater which I think is cool. Hahaha. Well, we then had some ice-cream from Hokkaido Ice-cream. I had my favorite passion fruit.

We saw this wedding decorations shop and thought of buying a wedding gift for a friend. I saw this cute little pair of bride & groom decorative, but damn, the price is kind of steep for us. We had to give up the thought then. :(

Around 5pm we decided to go home and pack for the journey back to KL. Sigh…… Fun trip has finally come to the end. When we were back in Malaysia, we stopped in Yong Peng to have our dinner. The restaurant is previously being recommended by a local food show, famous for its Hok Chiew noodles. Well, the food isn’t bad, just that it’s a little too salty.

During the trip, I spent more on the clothes, because thanks to Mr. Lew who had actually paid for some of the food when we dined together. LOL! Also there were a few times Wan Yi paid for some of it. I am so lucky! Hahahahaha. Guess what? After all the spending and eating, I found out when I got home, that I still have SGD35 in my wallet! I was pretty surprised. I spent about SGD150 on clothes, and I only spent SGD17 on food!!! That is a new record for me!

Think I’ll be going to Singapore again and again…… Hahahaha…… Next I’m going to eat all I can rather than spend the money on the clothes. :P

Here’s the RED MEN!

The new Ion Shopping Complex

This is definitely NOT for sale!!! LOL!

LOL! Imitating Nicole’s pose in Seremban previously!!!

She’s the same like Wan Yi, so many facial expressions!!!

Here’s the little princess. She was so tired and bored.

All happy again after her meal. :)

Had our breakfast here.

The artwork from the children.

This is the hunky man I mentioned.

Oyster vermicelli from Shihlin.

Spotted this popcorn vending machine!!! Cool!

Baby princess is so cute!!!

One happy family.

Baby loves Coach!!! Gosh……

Superman hair style! LOL!

Had our dinner in Yong Peng. The food is nice, but a bit too salty.

An Urge That’s Gone Too Long

Well, it’s weird…… Something that is very strange about Ashley recently. I’m not sure if you guys noticed.

The last dress I bought was in May, until now I have not bought any clothes! And I hardly blog about shopping or hunting for clothes anymore. My shopaholic side has left me!!! Looking back, all I shop now is skincare, lens, books and food……

Is this a good thing? Suddenly I miss my impulsive shopping nature.

I should feel proud of myself, I managed to refrain myself from spending unnecessarily. Another reason being I do not have extra money to spend with. LOL!

But, I’m going to Singapore this weekend! Hahaha. 2 missions in Singapore. 1st is to visit our sweet Adeline since I haven’t seen her for almost a year!!! 2nd is to “shoot” her! Hahahahaha…… I’m feeling so excited about meeting and shooting her. It would be fun since she’s such a cheerful and bubbly lady. And I miss talking to her. She will go on and on and you’ll never feel bored around her. Hahaha. Ade, please don’t kill me. :P

I shall not spend too much in Singapore. Hopefully SGD200 is more than enough!

July is a busy month, then August is play time! Gathering with friends, a trip back to Terengganu and a trip to Redang…… I can’t wait!!!

Oh, not forgetting a pregnancy photoshoot with a lovely friend. :) She’s such an angel, a nice lady which I’ve never heard her cursing or saying bad words. LOL! Unlike me, I’m no angel. Hahahaha……

What? The urge? Oh damn…… See, I’m way off the topic again……

Back In Action

My goodness, it was only last Friday I said I could finally refrain myself from buying unnecessarily. Today the shopaholic in me was totally unleashed!!!

Woke up around 11.30am this morning, immediately I heard the SMS ringtone. Picked up my phone, and it was Phoebe saying let her know if I would like to go out today. Yesterday was so hot and I was home all day. I wouldn’t want to stay home today again. Replied Phoebe that I wanted to go Mid Valley, didn’t receive any reply from for half an hour. Till after I shower, on my lappie and she was on MSN. Gosh, she did not receive my SMS. Anyway, we were going to Mid Valley. I just wanted to get out of this warm hole, and also to have a glass of herbal tea there.

We were basically roaming around in Mid Valley. Nothing specific to buy. Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins are having sales. We went to all three of them and I only managed to get a pair of black hosiery from Topshop. Guess what, originally it was RM39. I got the 20% discount voucher due to me shopped in Topshop during my birthday month which was last month and another 10% discount for members. I guessed the cashier punched it wrongly, instead of 20% discount, I got RM25 discount!!! I only paid RM10 for the hosiery! What a steal! Sshhh……

Around 3.45pm, we were in Naf Naf. I suggested to go in ’cause I saw the sign “SALE”. I thought the sale items would be those outdated items. Well, the 50% sign were everywhere!!! I was curious, picked up a normal price item and asked the sales girl. She said 50% storewide, from 2pm to 5pm!!! I couldn’t believe it, neither Phoebe believed it. She went on to ask another sales girl. LOL! Confirmed, 50% storewide, 2pm to 5pm, Mother’s Day Special! This is what I told Phoebe, “go grab anything that you want, fast!” Hahahaha…… I grabbed 2 dresses and 2 tops to the fitting room. Phoebe was in the fitting room first, wanted me to look at her dress. I squeezed in with her. Argh… crap… queueing outside might as well we change together. There we were, squeezing in that small fitting room. Hehehe.

Satisfied with the dresses, I bought them! Gosh…… It’s been quite a while I didn’t spend so much on clothes.

Dresses from Naf Naf. Black @ RM99.50. Purple @ RM89.50

After that we went to The Gardens. Gosh, so many of working dresses in Robinsons. But they ain’t cheap, all above RM200. Guess it will be a good place to go if I want to revamp my wardrobe then. LOL! Fat hope. Club Monaco also has a lot of nice dresses…… I was like drooling over every dress of theirs!!! But also like fainting on every price tag of them! Crazy, one dress could easily cost RM700++.

Andrew came pick me up around 6.30pm. He didn’t want to go back to that warm hole too! Off we went to KLCC. 2 shopping complex in one day! Gosh…… Went to check on some Canon lenses. Interested in 2 of them, but their prices are so much different. One being RM1450, one is RM390. Now contemplating which one to get. Need to consult my wallet and my bank account first. LOL!

Okay, enough of my shopping spree. F1 replaying on NTV7, gotta go watch now. Ciao! Oh noooooo…… Tomorrow is Monday!!!

Dreams Come True

I am happy now. Happy, extremely happy.

iPhone or Nokia N96, I no longer need to dream of having them. I am owning one of them, soon!!! Hahahahahaha…… Sorry, I just couldn’t get rid of that smile on my face.

Yesterday went to Pavilion with Mel and Wan Yi. We chat and ate a lot!!! 1pm had our lunch at TGIF and 4pm we had our afternoon tea at Old Town Signature cafe. Wan Yi definitely has a bigger stomach than us. LOL. Both of them went back at 5pm and I went to KLCC with Andrew.

In fact, on Thursday night we already went to check on the phone. It all started with Andrew showing me the walkthrough video on Wednesday. He is so evil! After seeing the real thing, gosh…… I wouldn’t want anything else! I was thinking, either I was going to save money and get that or I was never going to change my handphone.

We saw this advertisement board in KLCC, in support of the Earth Hour on 28th March, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, purchase RM1000 and above in the mall, stand a chance to get a pair of free Grandstand tickets to Sepang F1!!! That’s it. Everything was destined. If we get the phone and be the first 15 to go to the concierge counter, we get 2 F1 tickets!!! Andrew so wanted to go to the F1 and now we had the chance to get a Grandstand ticket!

So, Andrew got me this iPhone! In order to get the F1 tickets, we had to make the purchase from 8.30pm onwards. 8pm we were already in the Machines store, the Maxis guy there told us we couldn’t purchase the iPhone as the system was slow and they needed time to check my record and all other things. I was a bit pissed, Andrew kept telling him to check now. Finally, he managed to call Maxis and checked for us. Yes, we could make the payment on 8.30pm, luckily. After everything, we only got the receipt at 8.40pm!!! Andrew ran all the way down to concourse level to get the F1 tickets.

When I saw him with an umbrella 15 minutes later. I thought “damn, we couldn’t get the tickets”. Almost! He got it! He was the last one, the 15th customer! He was so pissed with the exchanging tickets part. Obviously, some guy cut the queue just because he was there earlier and his receipt was faulty and went back to the shop to get a better one, now he came back and cut right in front of Andrew. The concierge told Andrew no more tickets left, asked him to queue at the other side for the umbrella. He showed his pissed face to that concierge, that’s what Andrew told me! Andrew would never show faces to people unless he is really really angry or pissed. Hahaha. Then, miracle happened. The concierge told him there was a pair left and he was the last customer! Gosh, were we lucky or were we not?!

Got the iPhone plus the F1 Grandstand tickets, we’re so happy. But I do not have the iPhone with me now, gotta wait for the port-in and approval from DiGi, going to take 2 or 3 working days. It is so funny that at that point of time, iPhone wasn’t our main concern. We were more interested in getting that F1 tickets! Luckily we got the tickets, or else that Maxis guy in Machines is going to laugh at us.

Andrew said if we were to calculate the monetary gain, we actually bought the iPhone at RM1290 only, because that pair of F1 tickets cost RM1000. Which is true, if I were to sell that tickets to someone else, I’d get RM1000. Andrew told me he is fine if I wanted to sell the tickets to someone, even at a discounted price. NO NO NO!!! It was so difficult to get them for free and I am so NOT going to sell them! This would be my first time to Sepang F1 circuit to watch F1 live, and it’s a Grandstand ticket! I wouldn’t trade that experience for RM1000 cash. Well, unless someone wants to buy them at a much higher price. Hahahahahaha……

There’s another reason we wanted to buy the iPhone from Machines instead of from Maxis. We get to become the member of Machines, get rebate vouchers everytime we purchase from them and it’s easier for us if we have any problem in the future. Next thing to buy from Machines would be the iPhone casing.

Lots of people told me that iPhone isn’t exactly as good as it seems. A lot have told me that their friends and themselves who own an iPhone now would like to throw that phone away after 2 months of using it. Well, guess it is our own personal experience. When we like something or someone, we will still go ahead despite of what others told us. The same happened to Phoebe when I told her HTC Diamond is not stable and yet she went ahead with her decision ’cause she likes that phone. Now, I truly love iPhone. Looking at the price of RM2000 plus, between iPhone and Nokia N96, which one will you choose? Of course I’d choose iPhone since now it’s available in Malaysia now with unlock version.

Well, I’ve been a DiGi user since year 1999. People has also been telling me that DiGi isn’t the best network, but I chose to be loyal to it. Can’t believe that I have to say bye-bye to DiGi soon. Now, can you see how “powerful” iPhone is? Hahaha.

Online Shopping

In the past, I hardly had the chance to go to Seremban. But this year, within a month, I travelled to Seremban twice. And today, I went to Seremban for the 3rd time. Hahaha. But today it was for work.

When I was on my way back to KL, received a SMS from Irene, that if I received the parcel. 3 days ago, I bought 2 dresses from Irene online. This isn’t the first time I shop online. First time was I bought some beads from ebay about 2 years ago. Second time was I bought 2 dresses
from Josephine before Chinese New Year. Too bad that one of the dresses didn’t fit me well.

I got Irene’s website from the Facebook advertisement. Went in to have a look, found that she got more choices there. Found a few that I liked, but I couldn’t spend unnecessary anymore. At the end, I bought 2 dresses from Irene. Going to wear one of them to a friend’s wedding.

Bought this from Irene. Love the colours!

For the other one, I haven’t got it yet. There is some minor mistake, Irene mixed up with the other customer’s dress. LOL. The one I got is a green dress which is not what I ordered. I’m going to courier the dress to her customer tomorrow. Hope that I could get my dress next week.

Despite the small hiccups, I find that Irene is good. Efficient and more friendly in dealing with her customers. I’m not polishing her shoes in order to get some good discounts. This is just my review and experiences. If you do not think the same, that’s ok.

The material for the dress shown above is chiffon. It’s quite comfortable to wear. The dress is a bit short for me, but guess I could still wear this to work on a Friday. One thing quite funny is, the zip is on the right side of the dress! Normally the zip would be at the left side for a dress, easier for us ladies to zip. It took me quite a while to pull the zip by using my left hand. Other than that, it is a nice dress overall. The colours are sweet.

Guess I’ll be buying from Irene again. Hahaha. Not so soon though, I have too many dresses now! Can’t wait for the other dress next week!

Crazy With Shopping

On Thursday, I went to Topshop KLCC, first day of sales. Didn’t get anything. Nothing much and the dresses I tried on, didn’t fit me well. They are either too short or too loose. Met up with Phoebe too. We went to La Senza together as LS is having sales too. We didn’t know that on the first day of LS sales, members get additional 10% off and another 10% off for Citibank cardholder! So, it was additional 20% off on all sales item!!! We didn’t buy anything too as the queue for cashier was so long. We gave up on buying and went for dinner.

Friday was first day of Isetan 3-day members special. I went KLCC again, with Berry and Phoebe. Bought a new limited-edition blusher and concealer from Clinique, and bought the UV make-up base from Shu Uemura. I didn’t buy anything extra to get all the free gifts. I must not spend unnecessary, and I’m glad I could refrain myself from buying. 3 of us had dinner at KFC. It’s been quite a while didn’t catch up with Berry. So, we chit chat for quite some time there in KFC. 3 of us, laughing and talking so loud in KFC! Reminds me of my old school days.

Saturday morning went to Megan Phoenix Business Centre in Cheras for UBS Payroll – New STD Formula workshop. I didn’t have any clue of how to get there, just know that it is near to Leisure Mall in Cheras. So kind of Andrew who was actually working, to sacrifice his 1-hour break and sent me there. The workshop was good, took about 2 hours only. 12pm, SMS-ed Nicole that I’d be going to her gown-fitting session with her bridal studio in SS2. Nicole told me she was heading to KLCC and asked if I would like to go there to meet her first. Gosh, went to KLCC 3 days in a row!!! Nicole finally bought her quilt cover set, which came with a free quilt! Worth every penny.

We then went to SS2 to have our lunch, waiting for Wan Yi to join us. But Wan Yi was no where to be seen. She was stucked in the jam at LDP. Hahaha. We went to the bridal studio then, and Wan Yi joined us at around 4pm. The white gown that Nicole chose was so beautiful. We finally get to see Nicole’s pre-wedding photos. They are so nice and yet she’s been telling us that they’re not nice!

6pm, Nicole’s hubby dropped Wan Yi and me in Mid Valley Megamall. Both of us wanted to go shopping. Went to Topshop, nothing to buy too. I was so tempted to buy bras again when I was in La Senza. Luckily Wan Yi was with me, she kept telling me “you got enough bras already!” Hahaha. She said I’m like her mom, and now she’s the one that always nags like my mom. Hahahahahaha……

Hubby came picked me up around 9pm, I left Wan Yi alone in the mall to wait for her hubby. Felt so guilty to leave a small girl in the mall alone. LOL. She would kill me that I said she’s a small girl. To me, she is a small girl still. She is always fun and bubbly, always said some silly things that would make you laugh.

On my lappie after shower, played a while in Pet Society, checked my FB, chatting with Adeline, blogging…… It’s late now, 3.45am!!! Or should I say it’s early now? Hahaha.

Good night.

Buy Buy Buy

Went to Mid Valley Megamall last Sunday. Andrew wanted to shop for some new clothes for Chinese New Year. Esprit was having this 3-day special promotion for members, additional 20% store-wide. Andrew got himself a pair of short pants. I saw that sling bag again. I saw it the last time went with Wan Yi and Melissa. Didn’t buy it that time as I felt the price was kind of steep for me. But now with the 20% discount, it seemed ok. Got the affirmative answer from Andrew that it looks nice. So I decided to buy it. What surprised me was Andrew said he would buy that for me! Hahaha…… I was as happy as a clam!!!

Bought this at Vincci.

I am now considering to apply day off tomorrow…… Company will only re-open for business on the 10th of Chinese New Year. Hoorayyyyy…… Got one more complimentary off day by the company. This is going to be a long Chinese New Year holiday.

Chinese New Year 2009

It is coming soon, real soon. Another 10 days. This year, I am not so looking forward to the Chinese New Year. You may say this is the first Chinese New Year I’m going to spend with my husband together with his family, I should be excited. Well, I am not.

I am saddened by the fact that I can’t have the ‘reunion’ luncheon with my family. I miss my mom’s cooking, I have always been. Though I go back to hometown every month, I still miss her cooking for the Chinese New Year. I miss having meal together with all my family members, everyone sits around the round table, chit-chatting, laughing, having fun…… I feel sad whenever I think of it.

Why is there such a rule that the daughter has to follow the husband during Chinese New Year? What the hell…… Aren’t we women children to our parents too? Don’t we have to reunion with our family? Is it only the men need to reunion with their family?

It’s not that I do not like my in-laws. I like them, I love them for bringing up such a lovely son who knows how to appreciate love. It’s just that I miss my own family. Can you imagine that you have to spend the most important day of a year without your parents, where you have been with your family for the past 28 years? That feeling is just something which you will not like it. Just think about that. Perhaps some may think that 28 years with family, it’s time for a change. Well, I do not like that change then. I don’t think I’m going to “feel” the Chinese New Year this time.

Switch topic. I went to KLCC last night. Wanted to go home, instead I stepped into KLCC. I just don’t want to take the train home, hate it. I’d rather wait for Andrew to finish work.

Went to Kinokuniya bookstore. It’s been quite some time I haven’t soaked myself in books. I love bookstores. It doesn’t matter if I’d buy anything, I just love to go into the bookstore and see what’s new. I used to buy a lot of magazines, sometimes 3 copies of different magazines a month. Ever since I subscribed to Reader Digest, I no longer buy any magazine. It is Andrew who would buy once in a while, but what he normally buys are those gadgets related or automobile related magazines. Last night I saw this magazine that got my attention. It is featuring all 5 new DSLR cameras, so happened that this is the magazine that Andrew likes to buy. So I bought it. My eyes got so wide when I saw this, Canon Power Shot G10… GOSH… Look at the size! It’s so much smaller compared to my Canon 450D!

I am a Patricia Cornwell fan, since 2 years ago. LOL. I know I’m slow. It was only 2 years ago that I finally bought my first “Kay Scarpetta” series novel, Trace. Then I just couldn’t stop. I haven’t finished “The Predator” and now I’ve bought another one. Geez… Wonder when I can finish them.

Last year May I bought this “Blood Brothers” by Nora Roberts. I didn’t know it was the first book of the trilogy of “Sign of Seven”. The 2nd and 3rd book weren’t out yet back then. After I finished the 1st book only I realised there’s a sequel! I hate reading sequel when the 2nd book isn’t published. Checked the website, damn it, I had to wait till November 2008! It seemed long to me that time. But fortunately, the remaining 2 books are published at the same time! Of course I grabbed both of them. Hahahaha…… I’m not a fan of her. It’s just that I like mystery, horror and thriller.

Isetan closed earlier last night for today’s sales preparation. I wandered to Parkson. Saw this lovely dress. For myself?! Absolutely not! For my niece. It’s been a while I didn’t buy her any dress since she grows so fast. Hope this one would fit her nicely. Now I’m having headache of how to bring the gifts back to my family since I’m not going back before Chinese New Year. Sigh……

Girls Day Out

For half of the afternoon, I have been looking for some 3-column blog template for my blog. Out of so many websites, information and templates, I couldn’t find one that I like. Or to say none that would fit the content of my blog.

I want something simple and clean, those that I got are just too ‘simple & clean’.
Would love to add some colours to my blog, but the colours and the theme just don’t fit the blog title.
At the end, I didn’t change anything. However, I read so much about changing blog template, what can be done and improved.

I shall keep looking……

Yesterday went to Mid Valley Megamall, to visit the booth of Malaysia Brides Forum. Met Nicole, Wan Yi, Melissa and Annie there. We went there to show our support to the forum. It is indeed a great forum for all the brides/grooms-to-be. Eventhough most of the members are female, there are still some guys who really spend the effort to look for information. I myself have learned so much from the forum, and made some friends.

We had so much fun eating, chit-chatting and shopping. Annie and Nicole left earlier. Wan Yi, Melissa and I continued our shopping spree. Melissa is the big spender of the day! Hahahaha…… She basically bought everything that we said nice! LOL. Wan Yi left after she got herself an ice-cream-blended from New Zealand. I met Melissa’s husband for the second time. Hehehe.

After Melissa left with her hubby, I finally went to Zara and bought a pair of jeans. They’re having this denim promotion, RM139 each. Hmm… It’s been 2 years I didn’t buy jeans. They have been telling me to buy from Levi’s! LOL. First, I personally think that Levi’s is way too expensive. Better quality? Perhaps. Second, I just can’t wear Levi’s! Hahahahaha…… I’ve tried it several times, but the cutting just looked funny on me. I’ve tried low-cut, super low-cut, regular, square…… I just can’t carry them as nice. Therefore, I stopped trying and gave up any hope of owning a Levi’s. Yes, I do not have any Levi’s jeans though everybody is telling me that they have at least one. I wouldn’t buy things that don’t look good on me even when everybody is having it. Third reason, I love the jeans that I bought. I usually buy new one when the old ones are really worn out or I grew fatter. Hahaha.

Gosh, I spent again. Can’t believe I’ve bought so much for Chinese New Year!!! This is crazy. I must stop! I have to stop. No more money, that certainly can make me stop buying. LOL.

I am now looking forward to meeting Elaine this coming Friday. She’s leaving for Dubai this weekend. It’s going to be a long time before we get to see her again after this.

Delighted

Have been waiting for the approval of my EPF withdrawal since more than 3 weeks ago. The withdrawal is to settle the downpayment of our new house. Andrew has got his last week. Called KWSP last week for mine, was informed that mine still waiting for approval.

This morning, logged in to my savings account to check again (yep, I’ve been checking it every alternate day). TA DA! The money has been wired to my account yesterday!!! Yyyyyaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!! Okay, the money isn’t for me to spend, why am I so happy? Of course I’m happy, another thing settled and I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Next thing to settle is the monthly installment to the bank.

Another happy thing is, the dresses that I bought online have finally arrived!!! The colors are gorgeous and the material looks fine too. I was worrying about the mismatch of material and colors. Looks like I worried too much. They are quite cheap, RM65.90 each, free delivery for purchase of 2 and above. Going to try them on later when I have the chance.

Today is definitely a happy day, and it’s FRIDAY!!! Too bad that Andrew is working night shift, no one can company me tonight.

Tomorrow am going to meet some friends in Mid Valley Megamall. I AM SO EXCITED!

Thought of wanted to wear some nice little dress, but then I’ll be bringing my chunky camera bag. That’s the price we have to pay. Bring the camera then no nice dress, wear nice dress then don’t bring the camera. Argh……
