Miyazaki Hayao 宫崎俊
This name came to my mind out of nowhere. I’ve watched many of his animated films. Few years ago I even bought a collections box with 6 animated movies in it.
Last year, bought a DVD of his new movie, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (悬崖上的金鱼公主). I didn’t know the movie was from Miyazaki Hayao until I bought it home. I was more interested in the Ponyo on the DVD cover, it was so cute!
Here is the official trailer in English.
The First
In the blink of an eye, I am legally married for a year, this coming Sunday.
How do I feel? Hmm… Time waits for no man. That’s what I feel. Oh, and I feel grateful to have such an understanding husband. He’s no perfect man, but none of us are perfect. Guess I could never ever find another man that would take in all my craps willingly. Oops, correction: I shall never look for another man anymore. LOL!
Though we’re married and been together for so long, there is not a day we feel less loved. We quarreled, threw tantrums, got angry with each other, had countless cold wars… But they all stopped the very next day. I’ve heard people said “don’t sleep on an unresolved matter, solve it there and then”. Well, that is bullsh** at times. Sometimes the arguments heat up, both parties just simply have to cool down and stop talking. Many times after a good night sleep, I simply just do not remember what we had argued or I’d realise it’s just some small matter that needs no further attention. Why sweat over the small stuff when there are bigger things you have to focus on? One of the bigger things is, be happy.
After all, we’ve known each other for so long. The likes and dislikes, which buttons to push and which not to push further, we know them well. But “accidents” do happen. Hahahaha! Hey, we’re no perfect couples. :) A lot of times we got pissed off at each other, but those are sweet moments too. Often we laugh out loud together recalling our reactions back then. Yes, we do talk about it later after we both cool down. :)
I do nag at him. Oh please, every woman nags, ok. Don’t tell me you as a woman never nag. :p I too grumble about him with friends. No matter how happy we are, we tend to have things that we need to get them off our chest sometimes. Nope, nothing others can do or have to do. Listening will be more than enough. Don’t you agree? By the way, Andrew nags too! You’ll never believe me if you never see it. And you would never see it as he only does that to me when no one else is around. LOL!
So, how are we going to celebrate it? Well, being Ashley and Andrew, we ain’t really into celebrating all these. To us, we can celebrate it any day we want. Everyday is a Valentine’s day because we are still in love each and single day. And everyday is an anniversary, because we are still together every single day. Hence, no point to celebrate only ONCE on every 365th day. :) We shall celebrate love, not the DAYS.
The Birthday Girl
28 September, our lovely friend, Wan Yi’s birthday. :)
I asked her if she would be going for celebration or dinner with family, surprisingly she said nope. Then I remembered Andrew wasn’t working, why not we go to Klang for the fish soup again?! :O Yes! Andrew said OK! Then I asked Phoebe together, glad that she could join us! It is very rare for so many of us to gather for a dinner on a weekday. All of us were so excited. Too bad that Nicole couldn’t join us.
Before we went to Klang, Andrew and I gotta pick Phoebe up from her home ’cause she was waiting for her friend to come to take the dog back. Last week she adopted a ShihTzu dog from her friend, but guess the poor doggy couldn’t get used to the new environment. I’ve seen the dog for twice and thought I would want to see him again for the last time and say goodbye to him. He is actually very adorable and tame. Couldn’t help but feel a teeny bit of sadness when he was leaving. He came to me, pawing at me wanted me to “sayang” him. Aww…… My heart melted.
Back to our birthday girl. :) We reached the restaurant pretty late. 5 of us, happily savoring the food. We were so hungry! The food was just so good…… Glad that they enjoyed the fish soup too. :)
Didn’t manage to give Wan Yi a treat that night. Probably do it another time. Hahaha. Yeah, we girls definitely know how to have fun. :P
Phoebe’s dog, only stayed for a week. He is very cute though.

12 Months
Yes, if Wan Yi didn’t mention it, I’ve forgotten it’s been a year! It is an occasion that’s worth celebrating.
A year of what? Of friendship. Last year September, I was actively involved in a wedding forum, Malaysia Brides. Discussions, inquiries, queries, answers, sharing of experiences…… I was writing and posting so much in the forum. I was pretty familiar with a group of members. We started to chat and share our experiences and life. Within a short period of time, we know each other if not very well, also pretty well.
Jenny and Adeline are the first two from the forum that I met. Both of them are funny type and very true to themselves. No disguise, no pretends. I was a bit surprised that I could get along with them pretty well, they’re so much younger than me!
Then, I met Christine, Chelvin, Niki, Samantha, Berry, Elaine Choo, Winnie, Melissa, Vivian Miumiu, Vivian KC, Wan Yi, Nicole…… Then there was Elaine Gan, ZZ, Annie and Shin Yee. Geez… Now I realised I’ve met so many of them! What an honour! I even had the chance to photograph Vivian Miumiu, Christine’s pretty doggie and Shin Yee! These are the friends that make everything worthwhile. They give you the supports you need just at the right time!
There are some of us making great efforts in maintaining the friendship. Over the years, I’ve come to believe that friends grow out of each other’s life. Everyone has his/her own pace, we can’t force each other to hurry or to slow down. It is no one’s fault when we disappoint our friends, it’s just merely our paths do not cross anymore. We said “Hello” with a smile when our paths crossed, but why is it so difficult for us to say “See ya” when our paths separated? Yes, it’s not goodbye. Who knows there will come one day we will meet on the same path again?
A toast to friends that I have met in the past one year, to our friendship, to the happy times together, to the sharing of life experiences, to the laughters and tears we shared…… May our paths crossed for many, many, many more years to come. Cheers!
Melissa & Alex 19 Sept 2009
Last night, I was nervous for Melissa, the soon-to-be bride. Why? Because she was having difficulty with her slideshow, it just seemed that she couldn’t convert it into DVD format. Wan Yi and I had spent the night the try to solve it for her too. Hahahahaha…… Luckily this morning she SMSed us that she finally settled it and it’s working good. Phew! I didn’t realise that I worried so much and I was having this nervousness until this very morning.
Since I had a late night, woke up late today, 12pm!!! LOL! Got up, did some facial mask, iron Andrew’s shirt, Facebook-ing for a while, shower, body scrub, make-up, dress up, styled my hair…… Geez… It was then 5pm! I was all ready waiting for Wan Yi to come pick us up, but she was late. Luckily the journey to Seremban was pretty smooth.
Got there at 7.30pm. Melissa looks so so so beautiful! Gave her a big bear hug. Hahahaha…… It’s fun and nice to see all the familiar faces again, Christine, Samantha, Berry and Nicole were already there with their husbands. So much fun we had running between 2 tables taking photos. LOL! We were so crazy doing all the crazy things, talking all the silly talks, and we laughed so much and loud! Hahaha……
Finally, time to say goodbye. Promised to give Melissa a big “tight” hug… Hehehe… Felt my eyes tingling. I have always felt emotional attending friends’ wedding reception. Don’t know why.
May Melissa & Alex live happily ever after. :)

Back-dated
I realised I didn’t blog since Sunday! And worst is, blogging was completely out of my mind for the past 4 days!!!
Last weekend, I slept late for 3 days consecutively. Or perhaps I should say ‘early’? I slept at 3 or 4 in the morning, either I was playing games or MSN-ing. LOL.
It was Andrew’s birthday on Sunday. I planned to bring him to Italiannies in The Gardens, heard they have nice lamb and Andrew loves lamb. When we were right there in Mid Valley Megamall, Andrew told me “I feel like having some Japanese food”! Gosh! I asked if he doesn’t want the lamb anymore and I’d be buying. He insisted he wanted Japanese, he wanted to have RICE! Now I know man can also change their mind very fast. He put it in a nice way though, “well, I just saved you some money, you know.” Yeah yeah, right! And next time we go Italiannies, he would be the one buying!
We went to Kiku Zakura. In fact, I love Kiku Zakura and when Andrew suggested it, I was kind of yelling hooray inside my little head. LOL! The serving is big and yet it’s delicious. I love the way they display the food in the tray. It’s all about presentation and precision. The last time we went, one of the girls mixed up the arrangement of the food and the branch manager saw. She came to our table to re-arrange it in correct order! Can you believe that?! To them, details and presentation is very important.
Andrew ordered a chicken teriyaki, that was so expected of him. He will always have chicken teriyaki! And me, ordered the tempura set. That was also expected of me! Hahaha. I love their tempura set! We also ordered a chawanmushi since two of us are the egg-lover. I was so full from the tempura set. The total bill came up to RM72++ for two of us. Well, it is quite expensive. But once in a while, guess it’s still fine. And I actually expected to spend RM100 and above in Italiannies early of the day. Hehehe.
Andrew’s chicken teriyaki.

My yummy tempura set!

Look at the tempura… ooohhhh……

We wanted to go for a movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Checked out the counter, surprisingly not a big crowd. Okay, I must admit I was shocked when Andrew told me the ticket costs RM12 per person! OMFG! I quickly grabbed his arm and fled the scene. Hahaha. It’s not worth it to watch a movie at RM12. Alright, it’s a good movie. But still, RM12 is just too much. We could just choose to watch it on any other day then. Since Andrew’s off today, I told him we might as well watch it in TGV KLCC today. Though the ticket price for Wolverine is higher for this 2 weeks, to watch it on Wednesday it only costs RM7 per person. Ended up we did some window-shopping and went to New Zealand Cafe for some ice-cream.
I didn’t buy any present for Andrew for his birthday. I seriously do not know what to buy for him. Suddenly I just feel that all the things that money can buy just can’t show how much my love for him. I could buy him the PS3, but I didn’t want to. Buying PS3 for him is like digging my own grave. Hahahaha. I’ve got him a watch 2 years back, got him a wallet last year (I think), got him clothes…… I really don’t know what I should get him now. Andrew said owe him for this year, next year only buy him the PS3! Goodness… Looks like digging-my-own-grave is inevitable. T__T
Does time really have wings and fly?! Time is no longer passing by, it is FLYING extremely fast!!! It is now first week of May 2009! Almost middle of the year! What? I still felt that Chinese New Year was only last month. We were still saying that my friend’s wedding in May was still a long way to go, and now it is next week!
God please give me the strength to FLY with the time…… Or at least do not leave me far behind the time.
Simplicity
Finally, Valentine’s Day was yesterday. Andrew and I planned to catch Pink Panther 2. In the morning, he went to KLCC with a friend as his friend wanted to buy something for his girlfriend. I was waiting at home till 12pm and I just couldn’t wait anymore. I texted him, “What time is the movie? Are you coming back soon? You may as well spend the valentine’s day with your friend, don’t need me……” He replied me at 12.04pm telling me that he was on his way back. Guess what, 12.49pm and I still didn’t see him. Sent him another SMS, “It takes you 45 minutes from KLCC to come back home?” 1pm, he was home, I was watching the TV with a sulky face. He de-toured to Low Yat Plaza with his friend to buy me the V Day gift. It’s a 320GB external hard disk!!! Andrew is always a practical person, he would always buy me pressie that I could or would use rather than something to see, to hold and dies. He said now I have more than enough space to store/back-up my photos. Yippieeeee……
Before we went to the movie, we went to Nippon Tei for lunchie. It wasn’t a Valentine’s Day special lunch, both of us would never go for that kind of thing. We were so full!
Pink Panther 2 is funny!!! I know I laughed so loud in the cinema! 2 thumbs up to Steve Martin, he’s a wonderful actor! Something about Jean Reno. I’ve been seeing Jean Reno mostly in action-packed movies with his cool killer face. He is another funny and cute character in Pink Panther, just by hearing his name “Ponton” is enough to make me laugh. Aishwarya Rai is just another typical pretty face in the movie, nothing much eventhough she played the thief. Emily Mortimer who plays Clouseau’s colleague was oustanding.
After the movie, we shopped for a while in KLCC. With nothing to buy, we decided to go back home. Then, in the car, I told Andrew I wanted to go Putrajaya! Hahaha. The last time I went Putrajaya was last May when we went for our pre-wedding photoshoot. Putrajaya is still very much the same. Took some photos there, felt funny to revisit our photoshoot spots. Hahahaha.
We wandering there till 8pm when Andrew got hungry wanted to go for dinner. Went to this small eating place near our house, we ordered so much food! The lights went off a few times while we were eating. I wondered, was it because of Valentine’s Day? Hahaha. I thought too much.

Chicken Nanban Set
It was during CNY that Andrew found out Sony Ericsson’s theme display changes according to the calendar. It was a heart during Valentine’s Day. It was a “prosperous” word during CNY. We tried forward the date to Halloween, it displays a pumpkin face! This is wonderful!

Another theme display a heart on V Day.
Posing posing!!!

Karaoke Away
Last Saturday, Melissa, Nicole, Vivian and I went for a 3-hour karaoke session. It was so much fun! Too bad Wan Yi couldn’t join us as she was in Singapore.
We went to the Red Box in The Gardens. The place is still new, the room is quite comfy. The lunch was not that good. The fish and chips that I ordered was lousy to the max. We had fun singing funny songs, made funny noises, sang in funny tunes and tones…… Hahaha. Now we called Melissa as Jay Chou’s sister, ’cause sometimes she sang but we couldn’t really hear the words, just like Jay Chou. Hehehe. Laughing our lungs out. Hope Mel wouldn’t mind about the joke.
Toast to friendship!
After the karaoke, Nicole and Vivian left. Again, Mel and I were the last ones to leave. We wandering/window-shopping in Mid Valley Megamall till 6pm! Andrew came pick me up for dinner in Pavilion KL with his colleagues and ex-colleagues. We had our dinner in TGIF. The food was great. I was so hungry and I forgot to take any picture of the food! The serving was big and they all looked so lovely and delicious.
Few days ago bought this pair of shoes, 50% discount.

Monday was meeting Winnie, Chris and Yee. Chris had something that needed to pass to us on behalf of Angie. It is so sweet of Angie to DIY the paper bag, with some chocolates inside and a cute koala bear! It was really a surprise. Another extra for me was the migraine stick. It really works wonders! Used it few times when I had headache. I don’t have to take pain-killer anymore! Hooray! Thank you very much to you, Angie!
Special gift from Angie. She DIY-ed the paper bag.
Good Time. Great Night.
Just got back from dinner with colleagues at Imbi Palace. So sleepy now but don’t feel like hitting the sack yet. Maybe watch one episode of Prison Break before the lappie’s battery runs out. Andrew is sleeping, he has to work tomorrow morning. I am so excited about tomorrow morning, meeting Nicole and Melissa for some karaoke!
The dinner just now was great. The food was superb, love the roasted piggy. I didn’t eat much though, the pain on my right cheek bone came back out of the sudden. Damn… The medicines I’ve been taking don’t seem to work as good as they used to be. The first time I had this pain was about 6 years ago, it attacked again during CNY. Sigh……
Colleagues were close to crazy during the dinner. Everyone was gulping the red wine and Whisky. I didn’t want to drink at the beginning, but at the end I gave in to the Whisky. Luckily the coca-cola was more than the liquor! Hahaha…… I’m not a good drinker, but I prefer hard liquor than red wine.
I forgot to bring my chunky camera! Gosh…… Missed out the chance of taking some great shots and also polishing my skill! I am so forgetful!
Okay, I can feel my eyelids are getting heavier. Before they shut down completely, gotta catch my Prison Break. Hahaha…… I’m so addicted to it now, also Wentworth Miller! He’s so charming!
Good night.
Freeze Them
Last Saturday, Andrew decided to give us all a treat! Hahaha. Sister booked the place and off we went to this restaurant where I had my wedding dinner held in BP. This time we went to the first floor since the ground floor was fully occupied. The total bill came up to RM280, and Andrew got this lucky “ang pao” from the restaurant. It’s a lottery ticket inside, the date for opening is tomorrow!!! Can’t wait……
The little fella in action again.

Lots of girls are going to fall for him in the future. Headache.

Time. Passes. So. Fast.
I haven’t been blogging since Chinese New Year arrived. First, no connection. 2nd, no time. 3rd, no mood. 4th, I was sick. 5th, I’m lazy…… Okay, I know I’m looking for excuses for not blogging. If I really wanted to blog, I could find my way.
Today is the 6th day of CNY. I am already missing the CNY now. It’s like the old saying, “everything has its end”. I will be going back to KL the day after tomorrow. Geez…… I’m just so lazy to go back to work.
I was not feeling well on the eve of CNY. In the morning of the eve, Andrew and I were running between 2 aunties’ homes taking care of their pets. Both aunties were out of town, to KL. Guess I caught a cold from running in and out of the car and the house. After the “reunion” lunch with my in-laws, my body started to ache and my sore throat got worse. Swallowed some pain-killer that mom-in-law given me that night.
First day of CNY, I declared “officially” ill. Parents-in-law brought us to this mamak stall, we had some “nasi dagang”. It was quite spicy, my sore throat took another level up that afternoon. Didn’t go to see doctor, took the pain-killer again. We went to temples for some praying. That was so much different from what I did in my hometown! On the 1st day of CNY in my hometown, we will visit all the relatives with mandarin oranges. After praying, we went home. Just lazying at home and watching telly. In the afternoon, some relatives came. All of them came with a paper bag. Inside the bag was peanuts, cookies, canned food and some other things. I was surprised. Why would they come visit us with a bag of food during CNY? I didn’t ask Andrew, guessed it is their culture. What surprised me more was, parents-in-law gave us ang-pao despite that we’re now married! The relatives gave too as they said this is our first year of marriage, we are still eligible for it! Hahaha. So sweet of them.
Gosh, the fever came that very night. The pain-killer wasn’t working. Luckily still got some Actifast(another type of pain-killer) in my bag, swallowed 2 of them!
Felt better the 2nd day of CNY. To be safe, swallowed another 2 Actifast! I was as healthy as a tiger! We went to visit some relatives then. Again, ate some spicy food in relative’s house. For fear that my sore throat came back, I kept drinking water and running to the washroom the whole day! This is the first year that I have to give ang-pao to children and those single adults. AWKWARD!!! It feels funny. And I could finally feel what my parents feel for giving out ang-pao! The money just flow out like that! Those are our hard-earned money and we are giving them away just like that!!! Faints……
YAY!!! Going back to my hometown the 3rd morning! Argh…… Sore throat again, it was so painful when I ate. Actifast again.
8 hours drive!!! Reached home safely, with an aching butt and back. Really salute Andrew that he could drive 8 hours without stopping for long! I was all good back at home. Had specially asked mom to keep some soup for me and she did. Yummy soup! Mom’s home cooked meal is the best in the world, missed them so much! Visited uncle that night, saw my cousin’s 2-month baby boy for the first time. Gosh, he is so tiny! Hahaha. I was losing my voice that night.
My best friend and my wedding photographer came to visit me on Thursday. Told my photographer that I was so disappointed with the wedding photos! Can’t believe that I spent RM2000 over for some average photos! What made me even sadder is, there isn’t a nice photo of my wedding gown and shoes!!! Sad, isn’t it?!
We had steamboat dinner on Thursday night. I ate so much and I was so full. After 2 healthy days, my flu came back. I was always thirsty no matter how much water I drank. My voice was so bad that others sometimes couldn’t understand what I said. Body-ache was back. That’s it, went to this 16-hour clinic. It was so crowded. Funny is, the clinic is heavily decorated in all CNY stuff!!! It looks more like a restaurant than a clinic! Taken some photos, shall share it when I transfer them to my laptop. Doctor said my sore throat was quite bad, inflammation. Total medical bill, RM95! I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard that, blinked at the clinic assistant and he said it again. Oh my my my…… He said the medicine that the doctor prescribed are all of quality and effectiveness, no worries. Guess I was really sick!
Friends came to visit yesterday. Supposed to go out for dinner but changed to supper. Since I was on medication and didn’t really feel like going out till late night, I stayed home. Yesterday was a boring day. HA!
Tonight going out with family for dinner, Andrew’s treat! Hahaha……
I’m so enjoying my time with my niece and nephews!
*Stay tuned for lots and lots of photos.
KT For CNY
I am back in Kuala Terengganu. Reached here yesterday evening.
It is so quiet here. Can’t feel the mood of Chinese New Year at all. Just like any other normal day. Went to Giant just now. Gosh…… We were the only 2 chinese in the mall! But right before we left, saw another 2 chinese. For outstation chinese who are not used to this, often they will feel alienated when they step into this part of the land. But once you got used to the majority race here, you won’t even feel that you’re different from them. The sense of different races disappears. Suddenly you’ll just feel like everybody is the same. The people here are nicer than we thought.
The quietness here during Chinese New Year festive is scary. The roads are empty though today is Saturday. The crowds that supposed to be in the mall shopping for Chinese New Year stuffs are not there. The decorative stuffs aren’t many too. The neighbours are all non-chinese. Andrew’s aunties all went to KL for Chinese New Year this year. Geez…… Can’t believe I’ve bought so many dresses only to know that I’m going to stay home most of the time!!! No one is going to see my new dresses/clothes/shoes/bags. Lonely……
Mother-in-law is still on her way back from KL. Wanted to clean the house but don’t know where she keeps all the cloths and cleaning tools. Waiting for her to come back, blogging and surfing the world wide web…… What a boring Saturday, again!
Sigh… Boring Chinese New Year.
Finally. New Look For Valentine.
I’ve tried more than 5 templates last night. Messed up the blog for a moment. Luckily I did the back-up as advised by some blogger. I slept late last night, 1.45am, just to fix my all-messed-up blog!!! LOL. It was good practice though. Now it’s just easy as pie for me to back-up, upload and fix the blog. I even know where to look for the HTML code for certain features. What I got this morning was 2 red-shot eyes with dark circles! Colleague had been asking me what I did last night.
Used the other blog to try the other template this morning. It went well, because that blog does not have much content. Hahaha. Have a look at it here. I love that template! But it’s just too hard for me to figure out all those codes now! I need more time. It has taken me quite some time to read other bloggers’ comments to fix some error codes.
I chose this template for now, as Valentine’s Day is coming soon. The title says it all, “Love is…” In the air of course. Love is everywhere too. Pardon me for the sudden bigger font for this post. Using this template causes the font of the post to be smaller. Am gonna use bigger font from now on.
Camera’s out of battery, couldn’t transfer the photos I’ve taken last Sunday. So, stay tune for some photos later.
Sharing some great template designs.

Final Sense
Chinese New Year 2009
It is coming soon, real soon. Another 10 days. This year, I am not so looking forward to the Chinese New Year. You may say this is the first Chinese New Year I’m going to spend with my husband together with his family, I should be excited. Well, I am not.
I am saddened by the fact that I can’t have the ‘reunion’ luncheon with my family. I miss my mom’s cooking, I have always been. Though I go back to hometown every month, I still miss her cooking for the Chinese New Year. I miss having meal together with all my family members, everyone sits around the round table, chit-chatting, laughing, having fun…… I feel sad whenever I think of it.
Why is there such a rule that the daughter has to follow the husband during Chinese New Year? What the hell…… Aren’t we women children to our parents too? Don’t we have to reunion with our family? Is it only the men need to reunion with their family?
It’s not that I do not like my in-laws. I like them, I love them for bringing up such a lovely son who knows how to appreciate love. It’s just that I miss my own family. Can you imagine that you have to spend the most important day of a year without your parents, where you have been with your family for the past 28 years? That feeling is just something which you will not like it. Just think about that. Perhaps some may think that 28 years with family, it’s time for a change. Well, I do not like that change then. I don’t think I’m going to “feel” the Chinese New Year this time.
Switch topic. I went to KLCC last night. Wanted to go home, instead I stepped into KLCC. I just don’t want to take the train home, hate it. I’d rather wait for Andrew to finish work.
Went to Kinokuniya bookstore. It’s been quite some time I haven’t soaked myself in books. I love bookstores. It doesn’t matter if I’d buy anything, I just love to go into the bookstore and see what’s new. I used to buy a lot of magazines, sometimes 3 copies of different magazines a month. Ever since I subscribed to Reader Digest, I no longer buy any magazine. It is Andrew who would buy once in a while, but what he normally buys are those gadgets related or automobile related magazines. Last night I saw this magazine that got my attention. It is featuring all 5 new DSLR cameras, so happened that this is the magazine that Andrew likes to buy. So I bought it. My eyes got so wide when I saw this, Canon Power Shot G10… GOSH… Look at the size! It’s so much smaller compared to my Canon 450D!
I am a Patricia Cornwell fan, since 2 years ago. LOL. I know I’m slow. It was only 2 years ago that I finally bought my first “Kay Scarpetta” series novel, Trace. Then I just couldn’t stop. I haven’t finished “The Predator” and now I’ve bought another one. Geez… Wonder when I can finish them.
Last year May I bought this “Blood Brothers” by Nora Roberts. I didn’t know it was the first book of the trilogy of “Sign of Seven”. The 2nd and 3rd book weren’t out yet back then. After I finished the 1st book only I realised there’s a sequel! I hate reading sequel when the 2nd book isn’t published. Checked the website, damn it, I had to wait till November 2008! It seemed long to me that time. But fortunately, the remaining 2 books are published at the same time! Of course I grabbed both of them. Hahahaha…… I’m not a fan of her. It’s just that I like mystery, horror and thriller.
Isetan closed earlier last night for today’s sales preparation. I wandered to Parkson. Saw this lovely dress. For myself?! Absolutely not! For my niece. It’s been a while I didn’t buy her any dress since she grows so fast. Hope this one would fit her nicely. Now I’m having headache of how to bring the gifts back to my family since I’m not going back before Chinese New Year. Sigh……
Good Start
Today is certainly the best opening of the year I have ever had.
As I slept late last night, I woke up late too. Andrew came home at 3am this morning and he slept at 5am, logically he woke up late as well. First thing I did when I woke up, on my laptop, checking emails, Facebook-ing, MSN-ing, blogging, watching youtube…… All at the same time…… As I was going to Chris‘ birthday party later the evening, decided to stay home to rest.
I was late. Andrew dropped me at the restaurant and off he went to meet his friends in SS2 for dinner. So nice to see the girls again after the Pavilion meeting. What a coincidence that Nicole, Vivian and I wore pink top!!! Swear that we didn’t plan for that. Hahaha.

The steamboat was nice too. We were so full at the end of the night. We laughed so much and so loud that I think we have so much gas in our stomach that made our stomach bloated. Hahahaha……
Went back at around 10pm. Overall, we had fun. Had fun eating, chatting, posing, joking, laughing, acting, fooling…… :D Hope that Chris had a great night too.

From left to right: Chris’ housemate, Vivian, Nicole, Chris, Yee and myself.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Let’s Welcome The Great 2009
Today’s the last day of year 2008. I did not feel very emotional about it until a while ago. Everybody is wishing everybody Happy New Year 2009. Most of the people are out for whatever counting down functions.
I am at home though. Friends invited both Andrew and I to go clubbing near The Curve. I told Andrew to go ahead, I would like to be home. The distance, the traffic, the time, the weather…… I am so not in the mood for celebration. I feel so lazy to get dressed, to make-up, to wear the heels and to move. Perhaps sitting down with some friends, have a great dinner, drinking and chit-chatting will be more tempting to me. Dancing is definitely so not me.
Looking back at the year of 2008, I realised that I had been so busy with the wedding and I didn’t achieve much on other areas. Work has been slow and steady. The only thing that I am proud of is I successfully organised quite a few events for the company, with the help of another 3 committees. I especially felt that I was flying when the boss said “the club would be as good as dead if it wasn’t you.” Hahaha. I didn’t know that I could do events if I weren’t given the task and opportunities.
A lot of things happened during the year too. Good ones, bad ones, they all gave me good experiences of life. Gained some new friends, lost some old friends too. Had more good times with best friend Phoebe. This is also the year I travelled the most.
There are a lot of first time’s this year.
1. Went to Langkawi first time in my life.
2. First Team Building in the company.
3. First time meeting with some forum members.
4. Bought my first DSLR camera.
5. Taken pre-wedding photos.
6. My wedding. It wasn’t as good as planned, but all went well.
7. Visitied Penang for the first time.
8. Kissed father on the cheek for the first time. :)
They may seem to be nothing much. But they certainly are some milestones in my life.
Andrew is getting ready to go out and enjoy his night. I shall start my 2009 plan tonight. Yay, let’s get the wheel moving!!! :D
Goodbye 2008! I’m gonna miss you badly!
Hello my great 2009! I know you’ll be better!
Christmas of 2008
This year Christmas was a bit different. It’s my first Christmas as someone else’s wife.
Andrew is not a gift person. He would not buy me gift unnecessarily and without any good reason. So far, things that I got from him are all really of good use and practical. He has bought me a watch on the first year of dating, a handphone the following year, purse, handphone again, bluetooth earphone…… He used to buy me stuffed toys, but now no more. ‘Cos he thinks that I have had enough of them fighting for the bed with me! Hahahaha…… This year Valentine’s day, he bought me a Thomas Sabo charm. I was shocked with the price. I was happy that he paid attention to my favorites, but I felt the pinch for him.
This Christmas’s eve, I went to Suria KLCC after work with colleague. I bought some dresses from MNG. Andrew came meet me for dinner then. I had been bugging him for a Christmas pressie, so we went to hunt for pressie. Well, go on and say that I am vain. I am a woman too, I need and want to be spoiled by gifts. Name me a person who in this world does not want a gift. Santa Claus? LOL.
So, Andrew bought me another Thomas Sabo charm. How nice if I could receive 1 Thomas Sabo charm a year, I could then have a huge collection of them. I’m going to remember this charm, it’s my first gift in the marriage.

On the day of Christmas, Andrew’s aunt invited us over for dinner. We went to Pavilion KL in the afternoon, damn the traffic was bad! Parking was full and we wanted to make a turn to KLCC. We were darn lucky that the parking was opened just in time. Had some fun time in Pavilion KL.
There were some models in some special costumes at the entrance.

My favorite!!!

Andrew’s cousins.

This is what Andrew got in Penang, for his aunt.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri
Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
First day of Raya, what a boring day for me. Andrew worked morning shift, came back around 4pm. Went to Suria KLCC around 5pm. Gosh, it was crowded with foreigners! Those you could hardly see in KLCC normally, you could see them during long public holiday.
Wanted to buy eyebrow pencil from L’Oreal, who knows the product has been discontinued! So sad… Ended up I didn’t buy anything.
Saw a pair of black and white pump from Guess, RM90!!! What a good deal!!! Wanted to buy it so so so much, but Andrew was there. He said I am not going to wear it after I buy it, I simply just want to HAVE it because it’s cheap. Hmm… What a statement…
I was looking high and low for a dress for my registration of marriage (ROM) in November. Am looking for something less formal, cute and fun. Saw people has been wearing too formal for their ROM. Yeah yeah, ROM is a serious thing, I should be wearing formal and look serious. Well, but I want it to be fun too. Saw some fun and cute dresses and tops in FCUK. Andrew said not nice. ARGH… I don’t know what is NICE to him.
Warehouse’s dresses are so expensive!!! The recent designs aren’t beautiful too. Zara is worse! Nothing fun, boring. Isetan is closed today.
Thinking of going to Pavilion tomorrow. I still haven’t found suitable shoes for my wedding receptions!!! Yellow gown and turquoise modern “cheong sam”, what color of shoes shall I match??!!! HEADACHE…
Hmm… I’ve been talking a lot about the wedding preparations… Boring, right? Ok ok… Shall write something else later… Sorry…
